Rassegna internazionale d’arte | Premio G. B. Salvi
The International art exhibition | Premio G.B. Salvi is an annual art exhibition in Sassoferrato.
Organized by the municipality, in cooperation with Regione Marche, the art exhibition is named after the painter Giovanni Battista Salvi, also known as “Il Sassoferrato”.
The art exhibition was inaugurated in 1951 as “Premio pittura G.B. Salvi” on private citizens’ initiative, aiming to honour the memory of Salvi and to encourage the local art tradition.
Born as a local exhibition, its importance was soon recognized internationally and it has welcomed artists and art critics ever since.
